Established on November 21, 1988, Kalipada Ghosh Tarai Mahavidyalaya in Bagdogra, Darjeeling District, KGTM stands as a beacon of undergraduate education. Accredited by the UGC under sections 2f and 12B of the UGC Act, 1956 (Ref No F.8-101/90 (0PP-I), January 1994), and affiliated with the University of North Bengal (Ref No. 98/UG/93 dated 29/06/93), this institute serves as a grant-in-aid college from the Government of West Bengal.

At this juncture, just before our 1st year college admission, when I am penning a few lines from the Principal’s Desk, I just can’t shut my mind from the fact that this year is very different and very difficult. The COVID-19 pandemic has overwhelmed the entire world and India also has borne the brunt of the same.

There shall be two courses of studies leading to B.A./ B.Sc./ B.Com. Degree and each course shall be of Six Semesters duration. One shall be termed as “B.A./B.Sc./B.Com Honours Program” and the other is “B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. Program”.
